the author literally explains what happened in lukas's inner monologue. when it is first mentioned in the book lukas's brother died, i really tried not to think of this but it really did feel like the typical 'wattpad' storytelling. it felt like a lot of things were told instead of being shown, which resulted in some things feeling very dry.

the writing wasn't really my favourite thing either. normally this doesn't really bother me, but with this book the balance between light/dark just felt.off. in example, at some point there's a pretty serious conversation and then there's a comparison with a chihuahua. when i started reading this book, i noticed it switches from very light-hearted to very, very dark in a matter of seconds. let's start with the more personal things though: There are a few things i just didn't like, but there are also lines and events i thought were straight up problematic.
